Bunkly Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Bunkly is an attendance tracking and bunk planning app. This Privacy Policy explains what data Bunkly stores, how it is used, and how optional Google Drive Sync works.
Information Bunkly Stores
Bunkly may store the information you enter into the app, including your name, admission number, program, branch, profile details, subjects, timetable, attendance records, semester archives, app settings, and ID card preferences.
Local Storage
By default, your data is stored locally on your device. Bunkly does not operate a backend server for storing your personal app data.
Google Drive Sync
If you enable Google Drive Sync, Bunkly uses your Google account to store a small sync file in Google Drive's hidden app-specific data folder. This folder is not visible in your normal Google Drive files and is only accessible by Bunkly.
Bunkly requests the Google Drive app data permission only:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata
This permission allows Bunkly to create, read, and update its own hidden sync data. Bunkly does not request access to view, edit, or manage your regular Google Drive files.
How Your Data Is Used
Your data is used to provide app features such as attendance tracking, timetable management, bunk planning, attendance simulation, semester archives, QR sharing, profile display, and optional Google Drive Sync.
QR Sharing
Bunkly may allow you to generate QR codes to share selected subject and timetable data with another Bunkly user. Data is shared only when you choose to generate and show a QR code.
Data Not Collected by Us
Bunkly does not sell your data, track you for advertising, or upload your data to a developer-owned server.
Third-Party Services
Bunkly may use Google Sign-In and Google Drive API when you enable Google Drive Sync. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms.
Data Deletion
You can delete app data from your device by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. If Google Drive Sync is enabled, you can disconnect sync from the app. You may also manage or remove Bunkly's app data through your Google account settings where available.
Security
Bunkly is designed to keep your data local unless you enable sync or sharing features. No method of digital storage or transmission is completely risk-free, but Bunkly limits cloud access to the minimum scope needed for sync.
Children's Privacy
Bunkly is intended for students and personal attendance management. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Bunkly changes. Updates will be reflected by changing the "Last updated" date above.
